Batteries are very important to the performance of the Comfort Cab. Using a high performance, maintenance-free battery will save money, have longer life between replacements and give better performance in all weather conditions.
We recommend the following battery for this system to get maximum efficiency – AGM Deep Cycle 31-105 AMP power battery.
The frequency and amount of appliances you run, will determine the number of batteries you will need. If you use six batteries you can run your heater ONLY constantly for 8 hours before needing to recharge (the heater uses more amps than the air conditioner). Using eight batteries, in the same situation, recharging will be needed after 10.6 hours. As with your home furnace, the heater will go on and off to maintain temperature in the cab. These numbers are used to approximate performance time only.

The Comfort Cab Accomplishes the following criteria:
- Provide both heating and cooling for quality sleep and relaxation during non-driving time.
- Does not use any fuel therefore you’re emission free while providing APU services during non-driving time.
- Provides power for other appliances during non-driving time.
- Shore power connection included, provides option of running both Comfort Cab and your appliances for an unlimited time.
- Easy to install and truck friendly. Comfort Cab requires so little truck modification that we provide an inexpensive restoration kit that covers the few holes in the truck. This kit makes it easy to transfer Comfort Cab from one truck to another.
- Comfort Cab is a low cost APU with easy installation for a fast RETURN ON INVESTMENT from fuel savings only.
- Does not use any energy from the truck batteries during non-driving time.
- Provides start assist allowing you to start your truck off of our battery system if truck batteries are down. Our technology allows us to accomplish this even after our system has been running and has not been recharged. Just turn our controls to Start Assist it charges your batteries and stays on our batteries until truck starts.
